Calanque Light Sculpture | Table Lamp

Calanque Light Sculpture takes reference to the stunning landscapes of coves surrounded by limestone cliffs as the casts a warm glow. The combination of materials, textures and organic shapes create a sophisticated setting in vivid reference to its namesake.

Calanque Light Sculpture is a lamp in an artwork. It is made with Tufa, a variety of limestone, Translucent glass sheet hammered green water and brass finishes.

This is Audrey Guimard and Marie Jeunet's ode to nature, colorful transparencies and hypnotic caustics that unfold before our eyes throughout the day. The brass, affixed as a signature, finishes elevating the pieces and consecrating them as precious artifacts. Their mesmerizing work evoke a succession of waves, sunrises and sunsets, moon reflections on these abstract landscapes where the sand turned glass binds with the shapes of the rock.
