Shifting Parabola IV,

Héctor Esrawe

The Shifting Parabola IV exists as a large-scale luminous sculpture that adapts to the space it inhabits, engaging in a direct dialogue between the work’s dimensions and the surrounding environment. The shape of each piece is dictated by the weight of the brass sheets and the tension created by the position of the beacons attached to the surface. Inside the resulting geometry, a path of light creates a contrast between the illuminated interior and the outer space, offering a dynamic interplay of light and form.
