Orijins Café

Design: VSHD Design

Commissioned by COLLECTIONAL

Scope of work:

Architectural Finishes

Client:

Orijins

Orijins Café is a serene coffee haven where minimalism meets material depth. Designed by VSHD Design, the space draws inspiration from the quiet beauty of nature’s imperfections, brought to life through a subtle interplay of form, texture, and light.

COLLECTIONALmade contributed to the café’s architectural identity through the application of Matteo Brioni’s clay-based finishes, lending warmth, tactility, and timeless character to the interiors.

Walls are treated with a refined blend of TerraVista Plus and MultiTerra in the muted Neve tone, a chalky, off-white hue reminiscent of sand, shells, and stone. These finishes envelope the space in a soft, organic atmosphere, enhancing its sense of calm while allowing natural light to animate the surface throughout the day.

Adding a further layer of sophistication, a subtle wave pattern in Terrabella introduces gentle movement across select walls. The texture echoes the organic forms found in nature, creating visual interest without disturbing the minimalist purity of the design.

In contrast to the earthy textures of the walls, custom marble counters were designed to offer a refined focal point within the space. With their soft veining and clean lines, these counters introduce a sense of crafted elegance, grounding the café’s sensory palette while elevating its material richness.

The result is a space that feels both grounding and elevated, where shadows dance across raw surfaces, and earthy materiality anchors a refined architectural gesture. Orijins Café exemplifies the quiet power of simplicity, with Matteo Brioni’s natural finishes and bespoke stonework reinforcing the project’s ethos of calm, conscious design.
