Working with unique natural materials and traditional hand techniques, Alexander Lamont creates exquisite collections of furniture, lighting, objects and wall panels. The preservation of the hand in the making, is of central importance to Alexander Lamont, in a world of increasing mass mechanical production. Drawing from the technical heritage and expertise from Europe and Asia, their minimal and organic designs are tailored to exhibit a contemporary reverence for the rituals of craftsmanship, and the humanity infused within every piece.

Alexander Lamont’s Le Mur Wall Panels showcase rare, handcrafted finishes that blend tradition with contemporary elegance. Each panel is meticulously crafted using time-honored techniques and materials, transforming walls into works of art.

THE FINISHES

Shimmering Mica, a naturally layered mineral, is carefully arranged to create luminous surfaces that capture and reflect light. Richly Patterned Straw Marquetry features hand-split and inlaid straw, forming intricate geometric compositions with a subtle organic sheen. Precious Shagreen, crafted from traditional raw stingray skin, enhances walls with its distinctive beaded texture and depth. Hand-Burnished Gesso, a smooth, multi-layered gypsum finish, is sanded and polished to achieve refined surfaces for lacquer, pigment, or wax, including signature "craquelure" effects.
