Alexander Lamont’s Le Mur Wall Panels showcase rare, handcrafted finishes that blend tradition with contemporary elegance. Each panel is meticulously crafted using time-honored techniques and materials, transforming walls into works of art.
Shimmering Mica, a naturally layered mineral, is carefully arranged to create luminous surfaces that capture and reflect light. Richly Patterned Straw Marquetry features hand-split and inlaid straw, forming intricate geometric compositions with a subtle organic sheen. Precious Shagreen, crafted from traditional raw stingray skin, enhances walls with its distinctive beaded texture and depth. Hand-Burnished Gesso, a smooth, multi-layered gypsum finish, is sanded and polished to achieve refined surfaces for lacquer, pigment, or wax, including signature "craquelure" effects.
