Paper Factor redefines the potential of sustainable materials through an innovative solid surface made from a micro-paper compound — an evolved form of papier-mâché developed in collaboration with the University of Salento. Lightweight yet exceptionally strong, the patented material is available in diverse formats, from large panels to modular mosaics, offering endless possibilities for walls, ceilings, and furniture. Each piece is meticulously handcrafted and finished with techniques traditionally reserved for wood, metal, and stone, allowing it to take on intricate 2D and 3D forms with unparalleled flexibility and precision.

Paper Factor transforms traditional papier-mâché into an advanced surface material for contemporary interior design. Combining recycled cellulose with modern production techniques, it offers a lightweight, durable, and eco-conscious alternative for architectural applications.

THE MATERIAL

Composed of micro-paper pulp — sourced from recycled, FSC-certified, and post-industrial fibers - Paper Factor is non-toxic, water-repellent, and resistant to mold and bacteria. It also provides thermal and acoustic insulation, with 70% of production energy recovered and 30% powered by solar sources.

THE SURFACES

Available as Panels, Mosaics, and 3D Skins, each format brings unique design flexibility. Panels range from 10×10 cm to 80×80 cm, with multiple thickness options and durable backings like poplar plywood or metal honeycomb. Mosaics allow for intricate, customizable compositions. 3D Skins introduce layered textures that embrace artisanal imperfection for expressive depth across walls, ceilings, and furnishings.

THE FINISHES

Surfaces come in Rough for raw tactility, Honed for a smooth matte look, and Polished on request for added gloss. Fully customizable in size, shape, texture, and tone, Paper Factor adapts seamlessly across vertical and horizontal surfaces—including furniture, ceilings, yachts, and automotive interiors.
