Paper Factor
Paper Factor is a material innovation studio rooted in craftsmanship, design culture, and sustainable vision. Born from the expertise of paper restoration and reimagined through advanced production techniques, Paper Factor transforms recycled cellulose fibers into a high-performance architectural surface. Its compound, lightweight yet incredibly resistant, is the foundation for custom-made solutions across furniture, interiors, and art installations. Bridging artisanal knowledge with contemporary technology, Paper Factor speaks to a new generation of designers and architects seeking materials that are expressive, responsible, and endlessly versatile.

Paper Factor transforms traditional papier-mâché into an advanced surface material for contemporary interior design. Combining recycled cellulose with modern production techniques, it offers a lightweight, durable, and eco-conscious alternative for architectural applications.
Crafted from a patented compound of vegetal cellulose microfibres, Paper Factor redefines the boundaries of surface design. Sourced from recycled, FSC-certified, and post-industrial paper, the material is lightweight, solid, and durable, yet malleable enough to be carved, engraved, or pressed into intricate forms. It is non-toxic, water-repellent, resistant to mold and bacteria, and provides both thermal and acoustic insulation. Coloured with natural, water-based pigments and finished using low-energy processes, it is a fully sustainable alternative to traditional materials, designed to endure, evolve, and inspire.
Paper Factor surfaces are available as Panels, Mosaics, and 3D Skins, each format offering a distinct aesthetic and technical solution. Panels range in size from 10×10 cm to 80×80 cm, with various thicknesses and structural backings such as poplar plywood or metal honeycomb. Mosaics enable precision and customisation in surface composition, ideal for rhythm and pattern. 3D Skins embrace artisanal imperfection with sculptural depth, bringing fluidity and movement to ceilings, furnishings, and walls alike. Each surface is handcrafted, shaped with the same technologies used in wood, metal, or stone, and tailored to both intimate and large-scale applications.
Three primary finishes define the tactile identity of Paper Factor. Rough enhances the raw, organic texture of the material. Honed reveals a smooth, matte elegance that evokes handcrafted refinement. Polished, available upon request, lends subtle gloss and reflective depth. Each finish can be fully customised in shape, scale, and tone, allowing Paper Factor to adapt effortlessly across vertical and horizontal surfaces, from architectural cladding to yacht interiors and contemporary furniture.
