Unveiled during Salone del Mobile 2024 in Milan, Horses in My Dreams by Delcourt Collection is presented in the Middle East for the first time at COLLECTIONAL. The collection draws inspiration from the elegance, strength, and quiet mystique of equestrian culture.

Comprising 17 pieces, including screens, tables, armchairs, and sofas, the collection reflects the fluid power of equestrian forms through abstract gestures and anatomical curves. Rather than depicting horses directly, the works evoke the intimate relationship between rider and horse through movement, rhythm, and form.

Materiality is central to the collection’s expression: smoked and brushed elm and oak contrast with supple taupe leather, while soft bouclé and woven textiles echo the earthy tones of rural retreats. The interplay between solid structure and tactile finish creates a visual and physical tension, anchored yet refined, functional yet poetic.

Christophe Delcourt was 30 years old when he first showed his own designs at Maison & Objets. The stand was tiny, but success was immediate. “The American buyers launched my career.” Delcourt Collection has established itself as a unique company on the French furniture scene, working with wood, stone, leather or bronze, and upholstered pieces. Christophe Delcourt has formed a network of excellence that enables him to design high-quality, unusual pieces of furniture that always pay tribute to the nobility of the material.

The designer advocates an artisanal method. In 2007, he installed his design studio and showroom in an old piano factory, maintaining high-quality craftsmanship. It is at 47 rue de Babylone, in a back courtyard bathed in light. “I chose a workshop, an open, neutral space, like a blank page. I wanted my furniture to speak for itself, without artifice. I don’t define myself as an interior architect; I prefer to offer a vision that my clients can then appropriate and integrate into their worlds.”
