My Thing with Things

Article by Oana-Maria Sofronia

For the ones that hold us, without asking to be held.

My thing with things

…

is with the quiet grace

of form that fits the hand.

or

A chair, curved just enough

to follow the shape of tired

when we don’t have the words.

A spoon that scoops thoughtlessly,

perfectly,

because someone once thought about it

too much.

There’s wonder in that.

The real magic of good design

is how unseen it is.

Like air,

or kindness,

or rhythm.

it works

because it disappears.

that someone sculpted this arc,

balanced rim with lip,

weight with warmth,

so I could sip without spilling

a single part of my morning.

Design is a love letter

with no signature.

An anonymous care

from someone you’ll never meet.

It's so human,

isn’t it?
