Painting Screen

Painting is a large-scale screen conceived as a theatrical curtain. Designed by Alessandra Baldereschi, the chromatic effects, achieved through varied surface oxidations, evoke the expressive depth of a painted landscape. Brushed copper and DeLabré brass trace the contours of distant horizons. Its deep black metal contrasts with airy verdigris tones to suggest dreamlike natural scenes, a night sky, or the silhouette of rolling hills.
