The Rain Stone Textures are inspired by Piero Lissoni’s fascination with Japan’s natural beauty and design traditions. Formed from a rhythmic pattern of vertical lines carved in natural stone, Rain evokes the quiet elegance of bamboo groves swaying in the breeze. “My mind led me to the bamboo forests of Japan,” says Lissoni. “I thought of the trunk of a bamboo, magnified for effect and repeated.”
