Vase 1 Ceramic Sculpture
Artist:
Chiara Berta
Vase 1 by Chiara Berta grows from a base made entirely of ceramic tiles printed from old plaster casts, their reliefs forming a compact foundation. Above it, terracotta majolica fragments are fixed one by one to a fine wire skeleton, opening the form into a porous structure.

Chiara Berta
Emilia-Romagna, Italy
Working primarily with earthenware, Berta sculpts vessels and objects that embrace asymmetry, tactile surfaces, and natural irregularities, transforming simple shapes into poetic, one-of-a-kind pieces. Her work is driven less by perfection than by feeling, allowing each object to reflect the slow rhythm of its making.
