Convinced that the beauty of design holds greater power in modesty, the designer duo is after that form of elegance that lies in the ability to evoke emotions with restraint and purposely limited means.

Founded by Sophie Gelinet and Cedric Gepner in 2017, Studio HAOS carves a singular path away both from mechanized mass production and opulent craftsmanship.

In a workshop where design, prototyping and production happen side-by-side, they research new ways to turn readily accessible materials into design pieces that don’t shout but stand out.

Leaning away from frivolous complication, the resulting works exude a raw poetry of strikingly contemporary resonance.
