Buitenhuis Ceiling Light
Designer:
Dirk van der Kooij
The Buitenhuis Ceiling Light by Dirk van der Kooij features a segmented halo made of twinkling, 3D-printed arcs. Originally designed for a spiral staircase, the ring can be manually adjusted. A two-way pulley system enables smooth and dynamic tilting. Each arc is carefully crafted from ribbons of molten recycled plastic sourced from rooftop windows, safety glasses, and industrial chocolate molds.
