Salso Tiles
Designer:
Patricia Urquiola
The Salso Tiles by Cimento are inspired by the sea, the elemental foundation of Venice, with surfaces that recall the erosive action of salt water on stone. Appearing as if shaped over time, the tiles combine amorphous forms and subtle chiaroscuro, set in refined contrast with a smooth, continuous texture.

CIMENTO® Surfaces
San Donà di Piave, Italy
CIMENTO® is a design brand that redefines material identity through its unique use of cement-based surfaces and sculptural forms. Rooted in Venetian architectural heritage, the brand has developed a proprietary material, also called “CIMENTO®”, composed of over 90% mineral aggregates mixed with a cement binder. Lighter than traditional concrete yet retaining its tactical strength, CIMENTO® allows for the creation of large-scale furniture and surfaces with a monolithic spatial presence. The material’s porous texture and earthy tonality lend each piece an elemental character, bridging raw materiality with refined composition.
