Menhir Bench
Designer:
Dirk van der Kooij
Unwieldy slabs of pressed prototypes and production waste are slowly carved into the monumental contours of Dirk van der Kooij's Menhir Bench. Its color and patterning reveal the dough-like nature of melted plastic. Made from solid 4 cm thick Menhirs, the bench is built to endure lifetimes of use. With no lacquer or oil finish, it can be re-polished indefinitely.
