Ostreoidea Coasters

The Ostreoidea Coasters by Vagujhelyi are conceived as an object of accumulation and repose, defined by their tiered, shell-like plates and the organic irregularity of the oyster's form. Finished with a rough, patinated bronze surface and a slender coral-like stem breaking from the summit, the set transforms the simple act of setting down a glass into a small ritual of return, each plate lifted away from the whole and replaced in turn. Evoking the layered growth of a reef or the quiet architecture of the seabed, the piece merges nature, utility, and craft within a sculptural collectible form.
