The Djed-I Vase
Designer:
Diego Villarreal Vagujhelyi
The Djed-I Vase by Vagujhelyi draws from the lineage of totemic domestic objects, composed as a union of masculine and feminine forms. Its sand-cast columnar base is marked by primal grooves and hand-sculpted etches, supporting a removable conical vessel crowned with a beak-like handle. Conceived as a ceremonial object, the piece transforms the act of carrying and arranging flowers into a deliberate ritual, invoking themes of power, poise, and intention through its sculptural presence.
