The Orthodox Lamp
Designer:
Diego Villarreal Vagujhelyi
The Orthodox Lamp by Vagujhelyi emerges from reflections on disaster relief and the fragile balance between ruin and renewal. Its sculptural base recalls an abstracted accumulation of debris, supporting a cross-like structure suspended with twin cocoon-form lanterns. Conceived as an intimate object to be experienced by two participants, the lamp transforms light into a quiet ritual of exchange, evoking hope, serenity, and human connection amidst destruction.
