Santos Dumont Armchair
Designer:
Fernando Mendes Atelier
Created in 2006 to mark the centenary of the 14 Bis flight by Fernando Mendes, the Santos Dumont Armchair honors Alberto Santos Dumont. Its inclined seating position and freijó wood structure recall the forms of the Demoiselle aircraft, while a natural cane seat references the wicker baskets installed in Dumont's piloting positions.
