Yélen #6 (Light), 2023 by Ange Dakouo Part of the “Yelen” series, which references the Bambara word for “light,” this artwork employs Dakouo’s woven gris-gris technique. By assembling recycled materials into interconnected forms, Dakouo explores themes of protection, transmission of knowledge, and the symbolic power of light in Malian tradition.
