Verdi is a multidirectional design studio weaving tradition, material innovation, and contemporary craftsmanship into rugs, textiles and objects. Rooted in Colombian heritage, the studio reinterprets traditional weaving techniques with a modern sensibility, blending natural fibers and fine metals to create pieces that embody texture, depth, and understated luxury. Their handwoven products range from fique and metal-thread rugs, copper-thread plantain-fiber curtains, alpaca and copper cushions, and silver-plated handbags, among many others in their collection.

Founded by siblings Tomás and Cristina Vera, VERDI works with skilled artisans to transform Colombian craftsmanship into ultra-contemporary designs. The studio stems from the legacy of the late Carlos Vera Dieppa, a pioneer in Latin American textile design–and father of the founders–who revolutionized his craft by incorporating metal threads with locally-sourced fibers, to create unconventional rugs. Continuing familial creative tradition, from hand woven rugs to sculptural textile art pieces, each piece honors the raw beauty of its materials, combining age-old weaving with new forms. With a dedication to sustainability and cultural preservation, Verdi’s collections offer a refined dialogue between past and present, enriching interiors with authenticity and artistry.

“Even more so, it's hard to believe that 25 years earlier, our old man had been traveling throughout Colombia in search of plant-based fibers, naturally-colored threads and learning about this mesmerizing world of textiles. Little did he know that two decades later, his children would be realizing a dream he'd left behind, and that his distinctive technique and fiber & copper rug, would eventually become a part of the cultural heritage of our country ”
