Surf Club Abu Dhabi. Ilios and Nalu

Client: Monterock

Architecture and Design: Elastic Architects

Scope of work: FF&E

At the heart of one of the world’s largest artificial wave pools, Ilios Beach Club and Nalu Surf Club offer a unique hospitality experience where architecture, emotion, and movement converge.

Designed by ELASTIC, the two F&B venues reflect the fluidity and rhythm of the ocean through soft curves, natural materials, and a dynamic spatial choreography inspired by surfing. From dawn to dusk, the venues evolve in mood and atmosphere, sunrise energizes the spaces, while sunset casts a serene, pastel-toned glow. Warm hues, defined lines, and layered lighting echo the natural elements of sea and sky. Surfaces shift between raw textures and sleek finishes, grounding guests in an environment that feels both elevated and effortless.COLLECTIONAL delivered the full FF&E package across both venues, aligning materiality and form with ELASTIC’s vision. Each furniture piece was selected for its sculptural presence, tactile richness, and ability to harmonize with the interiors, bringing comfort, character, and a sense of place.Together, design and furnishing support a lifestyle rooted in openness and connection. Whether indoors or poolside, guests are invited into a space where community thrives, and the spirit of the surf lives on: calm, powerful, and endlessly moving.
