OBJ-05 Armchair
Designer:
Manu Bañó
Manu Bañó’s OBJ-05 Armchair explores the physical limits and expressive potential of copper. Produced in Santa Clara del Cobre, Michoacán, a town renowned for its deep-rooted goldsmithing tradition, the piece was crafted by artisans who typically work on small-scale copper objects like pots and vessels. It is shaped by hand, which is gradually strengthened and given form through the rhythmic process of hammering, transforming the material into dimensional structures.
