Womb Lamp 02
Designer:
Jan Ernst
Inspired by the ancestral caves of South Africa's Cederberg mountains, the Womb Lamp by Jan Ernst captures the primeval energy of early human sanctuary. Crafted from white stoneware with sharp, undulating edges, this sculptural table lamp evokes the tremendous voids and cracks shaped by natural elements; spaces that once sheltered the first inhabitants of these lands. Its soft, indirect light recalls the comforting glow of campfire in cave darkness, honoring the signs of life depicted in ancient rock art.
