HELLO WINTER, MY OLD FRIEND.
HELLO WINTER, MY OLD FRIEND.
COLLECTIONAL Newsletter: January 2026 Issue
It’s cold outside.
And inside? Well, that depends on who you ask.
It’s late into the night.
You’re rearranging furniture again.
Thump. Screeeeek. Clatter.
Your downstairs neighbor is not impressed.
But this sofa? It simply must face the other direction. Winter demands it.
We’ve all been there.
That moment when the cold settles in and suddenly your space feels… wrong.
Too cluttered. Too empty. Too something.
Staring at our closets full of things we forgot we owned, we asked ourselves…
Is winter about stripping back or piling on?
The minimalists edit ruthlessly.
One catch-all bowl.
One perfect lamp.
One mesmerizing vase.
Furniture positioned in a commanding position.
The kind of calm that makes you exhale just looking at it.
And then there are the nesters. The ones who believe winter is exactly when you need more.
More proof that life is happening here, even when it’s freezing outside.
Here's the thing:
Winter is the season of fresh starts. It also happens to be the period when you hear the mantra “New Year, new me” as a serious statement or as a joke.
In the end, there’s only one question that matters: Does this space hold you?
The answer might be empty shelves and a beautiful stand-out piece. Or adding another throw pillow even though there are already three.
Both are right. Both are home.
Your downstairs neighbor will forgive you eventually.
