Agapecasa
At a time of great global complexity and sense of insecurity, Agape’s congenital optimism turns all these question marks into certainties and, with unwavering faith in its own DNA (whose distinctive codes are sobriety, elegance, experimentation and quality), now proudly presents the “Mangiarotti” collection, a selection of projects by this great architect, who has been a treasured friend and designer of objects, which are now evergreen classics of Italian design.
Agape's passion for the culture of design, and the long collaboration with Angelo Mangiarotti, culminate in the establishment of Agapecasa, dedicated to the re-edition of the original and timeless pieces of one of the greatest masters of post-war Italian design and architecture.
Some of his thoughts on living are now being exclusively incorporated in Agapecasa, a brand which, for this reason and thanks also to the work of other designers who will gradually be involved in the project, will soon become a fundamental benchmark for modern-day furnishing.
COLLECTIONAL is a first of its kind providing Italian Furniture in Dubai.
THE BRAND
Established in 1973 by the Benedini family in Verona and subsequently relocated to Mantua, Agape owes much of its aesthetics, innovation and passion to its crucial geographical position between Milan, Veneto and Emilia.

A system of marble tables as a milestone in research into interlocking furniture without joints or locks: for the "Eros" tables the construction solution involves a gravity joint between the top and the leg, obtained thanks to the truncated conical section of the itself.

Tables made with thin plywood elements that stiffen through the curves to which they are subjected, giving stability and resistance to a very dry structure, and which find momentum and lightness in the tapered design of the leg. A constructive system initially planned to be demountable, a project that had impressed and received the approval of the great Alvar Aalto, a solution that still appears brilliant today for its compositional rigor, constructive clarity and the happy harmony of the proportions that define it.
Agapecasa
A few years after the project of the SK207 table, convinced by the mechanical characteristics and the high corrosion resistance of the material, Angelo Mangiarotti returns to work with bronze. With the CAP53 series of vases, the ancient technique of "lost wax" casting returns to its original field of application, the creation of sculptures.

A real constructive record, the "Eccentrico" table leads Angelo Mangiarotti towards the supremacy of some great "builders" of twentieth century furniture, such as Franco Albini from the "Veliero" bookcase and Carlo Mollino from the "Cremona" table: projects that the limits to which they were pushed showed theoretical goals never achieved before.

The Asolo table investigates the exceptional resistance qualities of the stone material, used here as the only construction material. When you don't get to “minimal” by following fashion but through knowledge of the material, always ahead of style issues.
