EWE Studio in collaboration with Nouvel Limited produced a special golden edition of Magma lighting fixtures for Design. The process began with creating molds varying in size and scale, hand carved in volcanic stone by local stonemasons. The volcanic stone was chosen for the molds as it is not affected by the heat of the blown glass, due to its origin. Being an artisanal process, the shape, thickness and tonality differs, as a result giving unique characteristics to each one of the Magma ‘bubbles’. The ethereal golden light is generated through acid finish that was applied on the amber glass surface, together with the hand hammered brass surface contained within the bubbles.

Mantica Table, designed by EMMEMOBILI, arises from a set of signs whose intersection creates a small work of domestic architecture where the volume of the hull of the upper floor is furrowed by the curvature of the two ellipses, which generates support for the composition in a continuum of convex and concave shapes which almost become symbology metaphysics. Mantica's project draws inspiration from the ancient art of divining the future by reading and interpreting abstract signs and clues. Mantica is, therefore, a modern hymn to hope for a future of light and beauty through the divination of our dreams. Like an art object, this furniture is intended to convey emotion and messages, becoming an icon of our time.
The 'Love me, Love me not' table, designed by Michael Anastassiades, is a large rectangular dining table with the specific intention of highlighting the opulence of marble. The four legs are unexpectedly curved from the back which brings an effect of lightening the table itself.
Anémone, designed by Maurizio Galante and Tal Lancman, is a beautiful suspension light in gold color. The designers have drawn their inspiration from the aquatic world to create Anémone collection. The idea was to assemble a multitude of glass elements entirely shaped by hand. The Murano glass “flags” invite the caresses and give a dynamic miles away from traditional lighting fixtures.
