During the 1920’s, ivory was used on luxurious furniture. Sliced thinly, it would gradually crack in beautiful ways. We have followed exactly these lines and cracks to create large scale gesso panels that we feel are the closest surface to real ivory it is possible to achieve. With our ‘Ivoire’, everything is created by the hand of the skilled gesso maker.

Jabara Board Cabinet, designed by Shinsaku Miyamoto, is a sideboard characterized by its sliding tambour door, whose classical design is refined to timeless and minimalist beauty. It looks modern but somehow exudes nostalgic warmth. The doors consist of Strips cut out of wood in oak urethane finish, piece by piece, and their rounded surface creates fantastic shades, which accentuates its profound look. Thick leather is selected for the front panel of drawers because its smooth but firm texture makes it an ideal material that brings comfort with physical touch. The on-legs base is in black powder-coated stainless steel in shiny bronze.
