Flavien Delbergue

At the age of 20, Flavien Delbergue has been immersed into Japanese craftsmanship’s state of mind. He has learned from several Kyoto-based crafts houses came together abroad under the name of Japan Handmade. He was wondered about the concept of sincerity in a design process and this experience has been fundamental for him. After graduating from École Boulle, Flavien has worked for Copenhagen design studio OEO Studio. There, he has perceived common values between Scandinavian countries and Japan. These rich experiences have founded his approach. He has engaged to open up to new territories and to encourage bridges between France and Japan. His design studio based in Paris was created in 2016. The same year, he took part in the Académie des Savoir-Faire organised by the Fondation d'entreprise Hermès. In 2018, he joined the Ateliers de Paris incubator. In 2019, he was finalist Design Parade Hyères 14 with the Asobi project. In 2020, he moved to his new office in Rue Primo Levi, Paris.
