In perpetual exchange, nourished by reflection, their creative process aims to fuse deep-rooted inspirations, dreams, fantasies, and innovative technical quests to deliver singular, strong objects in space.
Jean-Baptiste Wartel, designer & artistic director, began his career as a musician-composer-sound designer, multiplying musical and cinematographic projects before devoting himself fully to graphic arts and object design. Within the family business, he is as involved in basic thinking as in combining materials and finishes.
Fanette Wartel is a young cabinetmaker who graduated from the Ecole Boulle in Paris. After a career in antique furniture restoration, she turned to creating sculptures and conceptual pieces in wood. Fascinated by travels and cultures, Fanette often finds her inspiration in techniques from other parts of the world.
Bertrand Wartel, first a wrought-iron worker and then a metal construction engineer, puts his technical know-how at the service of our creations. Starred by L'Observateur du Design in 2009 and holder of several patents, he is constantly on the move. His inspirations are to be found in the great design and architecture names, such as Santiago Calatrava, Marcel Breuer, and Jean Prouvé, who placed this research and technical rigor at the heart of their creations.
