The Village is inspired by Gabriele Salvatori’s wish to explore the concept of home within the context of today’s global society and reinterpret it through the medium of design, whilst addressing fundamental themes of contemporary living. To recreate the rich and diverse structure of a typical village, we invited a select group of designers from around the world to share their idea of home, each bringing their own inimitable combination of outlooking, culture and background. The result is a fascinating and wonderfully eclectic collection of miniature houses, that, like the global village we inhabit, reflect an extraordinary array of styles and approaches. What links them, however, is the use of natural stone, that enduring and beloved material that has been used since time memorial to construct buildings, art and monuments that provide refuge and inspiration for mankind. From the very first rudimentary dwellings of cavemen and women, it has protected and enveloped us, the very same characteristics we still look for today when we choose our home, our haven. Designers such as Rodolfo Dordoni, Kengo Kuma, Elisa Ossino, John Pawson, Patricia Urquiola, Vincent Van Duysen and Yabu Pushelberg accepted our challenge, each contributing their precious and unique interpretation of the concept of home, expressed in a miniature piece of very special and absolutely original architecture. The Village is a natural continuation of Salvatori’s commitment to reinventing the concept of home décor by developing pieces that express “home” as a holistic experience that touches all our senses and nurtures our soul.

Tea Small Box, designed by Giorgio Bagnara, is a deluxe tea box characterized by an Aged Cedarwood structure and dividers, and covered with Printed Calfskin Golf leather in Cappuccino color. The inner removable dividers allow for 12 compartments.

Polo Small Round Stackable Box, designed by Giorgio Bagnara, is a leather-covered wooden-structure box with a marble frame applied to the lid, which also works as a valet tray. The box is covered with Calfskin Suede leather in Siena color, while the lid's frame is in Black Portoro marble.

The Ambretta Tall Large Trinket Box, designed by Giorgio Bagnara, is an elegant leather-covered wood-based round box. It is covered by Printed Calfskin Golf leather in sky-blue color, while the handle on the lid is in bronze finish metal.

The Lanterne is constructed with bronze or black powder-coated aluminum. The fixture is suitable for wet locations and has a waterproof plexiglass box insert in clear or opal.
Contardi
Circus, Designed by Contardi Studios, is a simple but complete product that allows you to customise the fabric lampshade with trimmings of different colours. All sizes are available with two different light sources: the version with E27 bulbs mounted vertically on the support beams to ensure uniform illumination without the formation of shadows and the version with customized LED plate, very compact, designed for use in commercial spaces, such as offices and retail shops. The latter offers the possibility - unlike the traditional version - to significantly reduce the height of the lampshade.

The Pietra L02 side table, designed by Piero Lissoni, is an elegant occasional table that comprises a minimal iron form with a three-sided structure and curved feet. The structure is supporting a round tray that is placed on top, made of an iron frame with high edges, while the tray base is in Rosso Francia Marble.

Coco, designed by Tristan Auer, are wall and table lamps which are embellished extensions of Coco ap (where “Mega” is the enlarged version of “Deluxe”). They also feature a combination of polished nickel and mirroring, enriched by details on the structure and four-sided lampshades, in Calacatta marble-effect fabric or in white cotton.

The base in copper and white transparent diffuser of the lamp is injection molded Polymethyl methacrylate clear transparent.

Foglio Wall Lamp, designed by Tobia Scarpa, is a wall lamp that looks like a round shirt cuff. This unique design highlights the infinite possibilities of design motivation by taking inspiration from a shirt cuff. Foglio design is a blend of modern and timeless design providing three types of diffused light; direct, indirect, and partial. The wall fitting of the lamp is in powder-painted polished white pressed steel, and the diffuser has silver powder-painted polished. It has two nylon injection-molded white lamp holder supports.
