Christopher Boots
Meteors slash through the sky, dazzling all who witness their strangeness. It is this primal, cosmic energy that is captured in METEOR. METEOR implements a delicate hand-picked selection of gradations of natural smoky quartz and natural clear quartz, conveying the dynamism and movement of cosmic matter plummeting to Earth. Warm light emanates through the naturally uncut crystals, providing a dramatic glow through dimmable LED technology.
Laurids Gallée
In ancient cosmologies, the Empyrean was believed to be a heavenly place in the highest of heavens, occupied by the element of fire. The warm glow of the ceiling light Empyrean suspended 01 pays homage to this antiquated concept, as Gallée experiments with light through material hues, transparency, and luminosity. Paired with studies of space from today, Gallée observed the warped behavior of light around black holes and translated it into the refraction of light in the Empyrean light. 24m of LED-light strips illuminate the dark resin centerpieces from within, while the rounded edges contort the light rays, creating a floating effect that moves around the geometric composition. The thickness of the resin blocks with the intangible translucence of the light creates a compelling juxtaposition that constitutes a balanced yet playful aesthetic that teases the eye. Empyrean suspended 01 is the first light in the Empyrean collection. As Gallée experiments with the light-bending qualities of translucent resin, the Empyrean collection will grow and continue to catch the light.

The fossil floor light was inspired by my fascination with shells, exoskeletons, and stone imprints. The coastline of South Africa varies from rugged and dramatic cliffs crashing into the oceans to sandy beaches that are gentle.
Kettal
Bela Lamp, designed by Doshi Levien, is lovely lamp . It was designed in 2017 as a new outdoor material for Kettal’s material palette. designed primarily as a textile material to be used on Furniture, Doshi Levien saw an opportunity to illuminate the 17 different colors of Bela ropes by creating lamps for outdoors. The aim was to make a lamp with a continuous length of rope in a form referencing the texture and lightness of traditional handwoven lanterns. Every year in India, there is a kite festival, and the streets are lined with enormous spinning frames wound with colorful kite strings. These light wooden structures gave Doshi Levien the idea for the frames or spools onto which the Bela ropes are clipped.

Hector Esrawe
Solsticio revisits the interest in light’s journey through different surfaces, continuing the explorations in pieces like ‘Parabola’ and ‘Shifting Parabola’, it analyzes the passing of light on metallic surfaces to understand refraction, paths and fragmentation in different planes that gradually highlight its many faces. Solsticio displays a series of luminous metal pieces, radially articulated and assembled, where the light fragments and bounces its spectrum in several directions. The absence of light becomes as relevant as its presence. The resulting objects present as industrial quality machines, as if in laboratory or a research facility — manifesting a dystopian vision of the future as imagined by our ancestors; specially alluding to time machines and space travels of the 40’s and 50’s, and even analogies found in dystopias like ‘Metropolis’ (1927) by Fritz Lang.

Obj-03 is born from a sheet of paper, a gesture, a cut, and a fold. The cut, once folded, allows the sheet to stand on its own, without falling, and in turn serves as a screen to receive the light. The led stripe is hidden on the back and contained in a solid steel bar. The weight of this part is essential to give stability to the lamp. Thus, all the parts fulfill an indispensable function for the object. The idea was to design a lamp with the minimum possible elements and a single material, steel. The lamp is composed of a square of 18 gauge sheet metal and on its back, a solid machined steel bar that contains the led lighting. I decided to oxidize the entire lamp to make it matte so that the light reflection would be soft and diffused.

OBJ-01 is an understandable simple gesture, an object that needs no explanation. At a glance, it reveals its material, its manufacturing process, its function, and its use. A plate of raw brass material cut by laser and assembled by hand with a rubber hammer and no welding joinery, Its size responds to the modulation and format of the material in its commercial standards. Pure geometric figures build the lighting fixture; a rectangle, a circle, and a cylinder at the back which contains the LED light spot. The circle, then cut out, adopts the function of a screen and can rotate 360 degrees to direct the light at will. OBJ-01 is the first solo work by the Valencian designer, resident in Mexico City, Many Bano. It is part of an open collection of simple objects based on the purity of raw materials, industrial processes, and simple gestures that cause a specific function.

The Womb Lamp series is inspired by the mountain landscape near Cape Town. The area is known for its sculptural rock formations in shades of terracotta, amber, and ochre.
