Castries | Table Lamp

Designer: Alexander Lamont

Dimensions: D50 H68 CM

Inspired by a poem written by the Trinidadian poet Derek Walcott. The cast brass text circles the column of the lamp as a visual meditation on the idea within his poem 'Love After Love'. My interpretation of this poem is that it considers the essential spirit that lies within us - the consistent friend that has accompanied us throughout our unique and beautiful life - ourself.
